RORY HICKS
Throughout my 22-year career as a technician, Toyota and Lexus vehicles have been a constant presence and a brand I’ve always enjoyed working on. In the early stages of my career, I spent many years in Toyota dealerships, where I attended factory Toyota Technical Training interstate. That experience gave me an excellent understanding of the inner workings of Toyota vehicles, how their systems integrate, and the overall ethos of Toyota as a global company.
After working with many different brands over the years, I decided to make Toyota and Lexus my core focus. I’ve always believed in the quality and reliability these vehicles offer. Beyond being a Toyota specialist, I also have a strong passion for small business and entrepreneurship. Despite the many challenges that come with running a small business, I believe it allows for a higher standard of quality, service, and genuine care for customers. I’m passionate about helping people through their vehicles—keeping them safe and protecting them from the wider automotive industry that can sometimes be marked by poor workmanship and dishonest practices. To me, good mechanics come down to honesty, attention to detail, and taking the time to explain things properly. No guesswork, no shortcuts, just solid, reliable work you can trust.
My other passion in life is flying. I’ve been a pilot for over 20 years, and I can honestly say aviation has shaped who I am today. It has taught me discipline, self-reliance, and the ability to make important decisions in dynamic and sometimes stressful environments. I draw on those same principles every day in how I run my business. Whether it’s an engine in the sky or one on the ground, I approach it with the same attention to detail and methodical care, taking pride in doing the job right the first time and helping people get where they need to go safely and confidently
